The Board stated that, in line with the Health Insurance Act, 2074 (First Amendment, 2081), which aims to establish at least one first service point in each local unit, new hospitals have been listed.

With this expansion, the total number of first service points under the health insurance program across the country has reached 417, while the number of referral centers stands at 85. The total number of service-providing health institutions is now 502, covering 376 local units with first service points.

According to spokesperson Malla, this initiative is expected to make it easier for insured individuals to receive treatment services from nearby health institutions.
